Suddenly Last Summer

Description from: http://www.plattsburgh.edu/academics/theatre/

Directed by Kim Hartshorn

American dramatist Tennessee Williams wrote his gothic psychological study in 1958. A film, based on this play, was released one year later and memorably starred Elizabeth Taylor, Katharine Hepburn, and Montgomery Clift.

Mrs. Violet Venable, a wealthy, southern widow, is determined to silence her emotionally tormented niece, Catherine, and hires a neurosurgeon to perform a new radical procedure for hopeless cases. Dr. John Cukrowicz, however, attempts to seek the truth in this story of sexual repression and terrible secrets.
